-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mon, Jan 25, 2010 at 6:11 AM

The British gave India back to their own stooges, the ideal duo to destroy India “by Constitution” having conquered her by “Sword & Gun” earlier. One was the “servant of islam” (Gandhi), the other a sworn ENEMY of Hindus and at the same time a great admirer of foreigners (Nehru).

Barrister Nehru, in particular, knew that to destroy the Hindus he had to reduce their TERRITORY and NUMBERS and destroy their UNITY and MORALE (SPIRIT). He would show his contempt of everything Hindu. He would deny them recognition in public and any mention in Constitution. He would avoid their company in public, ridicule them, never smile at them, never consult them on any State matter, never appreciate their genius and achievements but give key posts to Muslims and Christians. He would take Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and Edwina Mountbatten for his constant companions while his propaganda machines described him as a patriot and a great freedom fighter.

In the event when the British left it was Nehru who cried the most, begging of the Viceroy to stay on in office as Governor General. He gave a ceremonial send off at Mumbai docks to the last British military unit leaving India. At the same time he called the Jawans of Indian National Army (INA) traitors and dismissed them all in disgrace! Any fool could see Nehru’s love of India and our Jawans.

Nehru’s Constitution neglected none more than the brave armed forces of the country who were seen as a symbol of aggression meant to be disbanded in disgrace under Gandhi’s ethos of “Ahimsa Parmo Dharma” after Nehru assumed the role of moral master of the world. Unconditional surrender of Lahore and withdrawal from East Bengal were their worst HUMILIATION and the lowest point of their self esteem, pride and honour. The only victory worth celebrating by them was turned into shame & disappointment when East Bengal was returned to the ENEMY after its capture by our Jawans. The army is still smarting under their previous humiliation through “cease fires” and inconclusive wars.

Nehru’s Constitution was meant to push the Hindus to back row, ensuring only bad news for them. For this he gave the Muslims free hand to massacre the Hindus, starting with Noakhali, later West Punjab and finally the complete extermination of Hindus in North Kashmir. One never saw Nehru sad even for a second over the rape and abduction of tens of thousands of Hindu girls whom we regard “devis”.

It was, in deed, the extension of the British colonial policy of suppressing the Hindus in order to continuously demoralise them, Hindu temples, being Nehru’s special target, never got any protection as per Constitution. Nehru’s Constitution was utterly useless with regard to large scale conversions of Hindus to foreign religions since Partition, that itself was his deliberate State policy. Thus the Hindus have always been getting bad news starting with the surrender of territory on historic scale.

Broken and bleeding India began with her DEFEAT at Partition after which the country emerged in greatly reduced borders. Did anyone see Nehru show remorse or regret? In fact the clever FOREIGN AGENT NEHRU turned the worst ever historic defeat and surrender into India's “Independence”!

Operation “Blue Star” (attack on Harimandir Sahib) in Amritsar in June 1984 was the extension of Nehru’s policy of weakening the Hindus by destroying the Sikhs. Indira’s propaganda machine described it as her patriotic act but never mentioned her HIGH TREASON when she returned East Bengal to the enemy after its capture or when she schemed against the Tamils (of INDIAN origin) in Sri Lanka who desperately needed “Mother India” for help.

Diaspora in the eyes of Nehru was extension of Hindu India and, therefore, to be IGNORED or treated with contempt. His Constitution does not recognise them or extend protection to them in any way. Hindus are as vulnerable in South Kashmir as in Malaysia.

The litmus test of this Constitution are two words, “KHANS” and “SONIA”. The former reign supreme in Bollywood and the latter reigns supreme in India's PARLIAMENT.

For the Hindus, both men and women, it is the Constitution “of the enemy, by the enemy and FOR THE ENEMY.” It does not lay down strictly, “No conversion of Hindus!“ and “No conversion of Hindu girls at marriage!”

Indians still laugh & celebrate on January 26th and August 15th every year but not weep & cry.

The Constitution of India has demoralised the nation to the extent that the COMBINED “public opinion” of ONE BILLION can neither “show the door” to the Italian-born symbol of European Reoccupation (Indian version of Columbus) or try RAJIV, the BOFORS CHOR, in any court of Law.

Because of this treacherous Constitution the HINDUS today are in more precarious situation in South Asia than before the Constitution was enacted in January 1950.

Background knowledge of

-Hindu DISUNITY due to centuries of slavery,

-Devastatingly destructive role of Islam and Christianity in ENSLAVED India,

-Hindus’ suicidal inability to provide strong, resolute and inspiring LEADERSHIP in order to lead them to victory in fight for “Akhand Bharat”, and to ensure the honour and dignity of native womanhood (Italian born Sonia Maino) and manhood (the Khans of Bollywood).

-The “I am all right, Jack” mentality of the Hindus. It means universal apathy and detachment towards the suffering fellow Hindus. When West Punjab and East Bengal were being ethnically cleansed in violence and bloodshed not one Muslim was “touched” in U.P. and Maharashtra or thrown out of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. On the contrary, we see Mujahideen from as far afield as Bangladesh, Pakistan, Somalia and even Chechnya, fighting along side the local terrorists in South Kashmir. British born Muslims have gone to Afghanistan to kill the British soldiers. Hindus in Bharat did not teach the Muslims a lesson when South Kashmir was ethnically cleansed in 1989.

-The nature of “HINDU BASHING” ruling political party,

-The perpetual rule of ONE anti national and corrupt Dynasty.

is an essential pre-requisite to understand this Comment.

The Indian RULING ESTABLISHMENT will "celebrate" Bharat’s (Middle India’s) REPUBLIC DAY on 26th. January. On this date in 1950 her new Constitution was enacted. Let us expose the COWARDICE and TREACHERY of its writers.

What we call “India” or “Bharat” is in reality MIDDLE INDIA. The Constitution ought to have stated Pakistan and Bangladesh as Western India and Eastern India respectively. The Constitution of West Germany did not accept the division of the country in order to acknowledge the existence of East Germany.

The last civil war in India (1947) was FOUGHT between the Muslims (aggressors) and “The Rest.” (defenders). The next war too will be fought between “The Rest” and the Muslims.

Last time the Muslims had full support of the Christians (the British). The next time, too, the Muslims will have the full support of the Christians (Italians). What guidance does one get from the Constitution of India with this regard? Constitution is supposed to be the eyes and ears of a blind nation.

The first tragic thing about the Constitution is that it “stinks” of anti Hindu bias. And it further “stinks” of TREASON by not mentioning “Akhand Bharat” to which the whole nation, not only Mr. MK Gandhi & Bandit JL Nehru, were supposedly committed till the “last drop of blood in their bodies”. Therefore, as per Constitution the blood in India is water that can be coloured green in Lahore but left pale yellow in Delhi.

The “Vidhan” does not mention the five provinces that were meant to be integral part of AKHAND BHARAT. They had been surrendered unconditionally- without referendum, reason, challenge or FIGHT to the indigenous Muslims two and a half years earlier. The Muslims of India had the “royal” privilege to move over to the newly created ISLAMIC countries, or stay put back in India to enjoy full citizenship rights as per Constitution.

No Indian citizenship can buy any property in South Kashmir as per Constitution. (Article 370).

Two million Indians were massacred and 15 million forcibly expelled from their ancestral homes. Such an unprecedented large scale exodus had never before taken place in India's entire history. But it finds no mention in Constitution showing that the top leaders Gandhi and Nehru regarded the PEOPLE OF INDIA as Hitler regarded the Jews.

There is no mention of a Memorial to the Holocaust of 1947. The Constitution does not refer to the slavery of KARACHI and DHAKA while declaring DELHI independent. The by-products of this Constitution are THREE flags (Pakistan, Bharat and Bangladesh) flying in the capital of India where a yielding conceding appeasing, gentle and uninspiring Shrimati occupies Rashtrapati Bhawan as the Supreme Commander and President.

There had been countless Muslim invasions and continuous occupation of DELHI since 1192 AD but never were vast areas (one third of India) evacuated by the HINDUS as in 1947 due to historic collapse by barristers NEHRU & GANDHI.

The Constitution reflects the most humiliating defeat and surrender of SECULARISM while the leaders claimed to be staunchly committed to secularism. Obviously, the Constitution regards secularism mandatory only for the Hindus and the Sikhs but NOT for the Muslims. The Sikh who shouts, “Secularism to be acceptable in Amritsar has to be RAMMED DOWN THEIR THROATS in Lahore,” runs the risk of being put behind bars for life.

Here are the main flaws in this Constitution-

1. No mention of the unconditional surrender of Secularism, Do countries abandon their fundamental commitments so quickly like this?

2. Unconditional surrender of vast TERRITORIES. What is the meaning of patriotism then?

3. Not defining the Muslims as traitors or separatists at the same moment when Bandit NEHRU saw the “glow of his own freedom”. At the outbreak of World War 2 all the German and Japanese citizens in America and England were interned and not released till the end of war. In India the Constitution declared them to be as patriotic as the loyal Hindus. This was the ugliest joke on all the people of Bharat.

4. While LAHORE is outside the ambit of this Constitution SRINAGAR is not. The result? Total loss of tourism and Hindu life and property in extreme peril.

5. Obvious bias against the majority community (the HINDUS) but at the same time showing excessive concern for the well-being and advancement of the MUSLIMS, e.g. Hajj subsidies and reservation of jobs.

6. The State of Jammu & Kashmir was conceded special and separate identity vide Article 370. Nehru desperately needed the violence and unrest there to take the nation’s mind OFF his own treason at partition. That is why he ordered our advancing troops to stop dead, and not move on, to recover North Kashmir fully.

7. While India is the fountainhead of true RELIGIONS on earth, something that was to be celebrated with great joy and pride, the Constitution does not reflect this at all but treats native and FOREIGN religions at par. In Ayodhya the Mohammed of Arabia is put above Sri Rama of BHARAT. A Constitution that does not defend and lift the image of the country's OWN divine genius is not worth the paper it is written on. For betraying India’s own divine beings, her constitution is a document of national shame. “Gaurav” will remain a mere word, not a reality.

None of the native Avataras, Rishis and Gurus is mentioned even once in this Constitution. It ought to have begun with a Shloka in Sanskrit from Bhagwat Gita.

8. This Constitution gives no direction to ensure that the SUPREME COMMANDER of MIDDLE INDIA must be a COMMITTED HINDU. A wrong person, a devious Muslim or Christian can easily occupy this post and ensure the destruction and defeat of the Indian Army. This Constitution plays with the very security & survival of the Republic.

9. The Constitution adopted the same flag for the country that belonged to All-India Congress Party with one change. Instead of "charkha (spinning wheel) MIDDLE INDIA was to have ASHOKA CHAKRA on its flag. This was a concession to Dr Ambedkar, a Buddhist, whose disdain of Hindu religion was similar to that of JL Nehru.

10. Against popular demand for “VANDE MATRAM” as the national anthem the Constituent Assembly chose “JANA GANA MANA” at the behest of Jenab JL Nehru, half Muslim himself.

11. What direction, impulse or guideline does this Constitution provide to the State to ensure the safety of the people of INDIAN origin living abroad, e.g., UGANDA, FIJI, BANGLADESH, PAKISTAN, KASHMIR, NEPAL, SRI LANKA, MALAYSIA and AUSTRALIA? Its outlook on the EXPATRIATE Indians is that of a flock of sheep who passively watch the wolf carrying off one of them for his meal. In several countries DUAL NATIONALITY is granted automatically as per Constitution in order to facilitate initiative and travel but NOT in India.

Having said all this, one can ask, “What should have been a proper Constitution for MIDDLE INDIA?"

What was a genuinely patriotic HINDU Prime Minister of the newly independent BHARAT expected to do?

1. Declare Middle India as HINDU RASHTRA if separatist breakaway countries on EITHER SIDE had to be ISLAMIC. The world sees clear identity of Pakistan as an Islamic State while India lives on under mongrel Ideology and expected to remain an unstable country where everyone would fight for own rights and privileges. Clearly, Secularism to be decent in DELHI had to be rammed down their throats in LAHORE.

2. The Constitution had to designate the MUSLIMS as “persona non grata” or "guest workers" like the TURKS in Germany.

3. The Constitution had to spell out clearly that only a COMMITTED & PRACTISING HINDU could become the Supreme Commander and the Prime Minister, as also the Governors of the States.

4. A new FLAG had to be designed with NO resemblance with the flag of any political party.

5. “Vande Matram” had to be the national anthem of Bharat.

6. THE Truncated province of Punjab had to be given a new name to match REALITY. The new name could be DOAB (Land of Two Rivers) or simply EAST PUNJAB that rhymes with WEST BENGAL.

7. The Constitution had to stipulate the final date for the closure of all the seditious MUSLIM universities like Aligarh and Deoband, and sanction the establishment of HINDU universities, at least one per State.

8. The aspiration to unify the country had to be clearly stated. In the Constitution of West Germany this was stated in Article 1. The patriotic Germans did NOT accept two Germanys. Thus any East German escaping to the West was automatically given the German citizenship and rehabilitated. Such patriotism and genius was totally lacking in those “mental dwarfs / former slaves” who framed the Constitution of Partitioned Indian Secular State.

9. The status of the MAJORITY community, the HINDUS, remained as low “as per Constitution” as it was during the British Raj when the Christians used to ally themselves with the MUSLIMS- both being foreigners, against the NATIVE Hindus. Partition itself was the proof of that core “unity of purpose” of the foreigners and their animosity towards the Hindus.

A Constitution is like the rudder of a ship, small yet powerful enough to keep the ship on course. The ship called “BHARAT” has a hull that is leaking on every side. It is sailing on an erroneous course. There is no provision in Constitution for ejecting the corrupt captain and crew like body waste. Scoundrels in top families, like Rajiv Gandhi, can get away with importing brides from abroad, thus degrading native womanhood. There is also no provision to try and punish goons like BOFORS CHOR and confiscate their ill-gotten wealth.

The Constitution of India engenders NO loyalty to the country or its TERRITORY. It proved useless when Indira Gandhi returned our own territory (East Bengal) back to the ENEMY after its capture in 1972. There was NOTHING in Constitution to stop her from doing so. She could not be tried for HIGH TREASON and executed or hanged to death for that crime. In sharp contrast we see the Constitutions of Pakistan and Bangladesh that prohibit the return of territory to India under any circumstances.

This “Vidhan” of Bandit Jawaharlal NEHRU does not specify whether the country's identity is HINDU or MONGREL. In contrast the United Kingdom is a CHRISTIAN country with her own State religion (Church of England). The Constitution does not commend ONE LAW FOR ALL. In some parts of Bharat the Muslims have their own Sharia Law.

The Constitution does not defend the rights and dignity of girls being seduced, married and CONVERTED. There is NO assurance to the nation that its Secularism will be guaranteed if the Muslims OUTNUMBER the Hindus due to disproportionate increase in their numbers. It has NO provision to ensure that the foreigners do not convert the natives with incentives and rewards.

The Hindu “LION” was put in the cage called “VIDHAN” and continuously starved. Weak and emaciated, and lacking self confidence and self esteem, it says to one Abdul Kalam, “Sir, be our supreme commander and you do not have to be a Hindu,” and to one Sonia Maino, “Madam, become our prime minister and we will also have your son rule us for ever. He may, if he so desires, bring his bride from Venezuela, Malaysia or Columbia.” Where on earth do we see such despicable COLLAPSE of the whole nation?

The pathetic plight of the Hindus from Kashmir to Kerala is the proof that the quality of the Constitution that was inflicted on MIDDLE INDIA was (and still remains) pathetic.

The Constitution of the UNITED States of America has such vigorous and dynamic impulses going out that the attack of Nine Eleven resulted in the destruction of the Government of Taliban in Afghanistan. The Constitution of Middle India lacks vitality to the extent that despite the claims the Indian army has not been able to advance even one centimetre across the “cease fire line”.

The WORST thing about this Constitution is that it regards India's existence from MIDNIGHT 14/15 August 1947 with full compliments to the cowards who agreed to the surrender of India. Had Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose been alive no one would have dared to cut, chop and fragment India in this vulgar manner or invaded Kashmir. Regrettably, there is little mention of the great Hindu Kings and the indigenous civilisation of the past.

Let the nation judge for itself and then scrap this Document of TREACHERY, and write up a new one to recognise the GENIUS and POTENTIAL of Hindu nation or even to match the vigour and dynamic of the Constitution of the United States of America. The era of “Indian Coolie” is LONG PAST.

The Doctrine of reincarnation is widely accepted. Christ himself has, if not directly,at least indirectly, proclaimed the theory of reincarnation when He told His disciples that John the Baptist was Eliah. The most learned of the Christian fathers, Origen had clearly declared:" Every man received a body for himself according to his desires in former lives". There is no great thinker in the past nor any in the present who had not accepted, expressly or tacitly, the logical conclusions in the doctrine of reincarnation. Gautama, the Buddha constantly made references to his previous births. Virgil and Ovid regarded the doctrine as perfectly self-evident. Among the jews of his age, reincarnation was widely accepted, says Josephus. Solomon`s Book of Wisdom says,"To be born in sound body with limbs is a reward of the virtues of past lives." A learned son of Islam is reported to have declared," I died out of the stone and I became a plant; I died out of the plant and became an animal ; I died out of an animal and became a man; Why then should I fear to die? When did I grow less by dying/ I shall grow out of man and shall become an angel".

In the latter times this philosophical belief was accepted as a doctrine by the German philosophers, Goethe and others. Among the recent philosophers, Max Muller, Hume and Spencer have recognised this doctrine as incontrovertible. Even poets like Tennyson, Wordsworth, to mention a few names have sung about the theory. The infant prodigy, Mozart, is a spectacular instance which can not be explained away: to be logical we must accept the idea of the continuity of the embodiedd souls. That genius wrote sonatas at the age of four, played in public at the age of five, composed his first opera at the age of seven. Can we call this incident as an accident or chance and forget about it? Pl. think.

Something that we can do to help ourselves. Nice to know.
Bayer is making crystal aspirin to dissolve under the tongue. They work much faster than the tablets.

Why keep aspirin by your bedside?
About Heart Attacks

There are other symptoms of an heart attack besides the pain on the left arm.
One must also be aware of an intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating, however these symptoms may also occur less frequently.
Note: There may be NO pain in the chest during a heart attack.. The majority of people (about 60%) who had a heart attack during their sleep, did not wake up. However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep.

If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins in your mouth and swallow them with a bit of water.
- phone a neighbor or a family member who lives very close by
- say "heart attack!"
- say that you have taken 2 aspirins..
- take a seat on a chair or sofa near the front door, and wait for their arrival and...

Years pass by and our kidneys are filtering the blood by removing salt, poison and any unwanted entering our body. With time, the salt accumulates and this needs to undergo cleaning treatments and how are we going to overcome this?
It is very easy, first take a bunch of parsley and wash it clean
Then cut it in small pieces and put it in a pot and pour clean water and boil it for ten minutes and let it cool down and then filter it and pour in a clean bottle and keep it inside refrigerator to cool.
Drink one glass daily and you will notice all salt and other accumulated poison coming out of your kidney by urination also you will be able to notice the difference which you never felt before.
Parsley is known as best cleaning treatment for kidneys and it is natural!

[prohindu] Burqa Wars Erupt on Campus

EagleSM23 Mon, Jan 18, 2010 at 7:41 AM
Burqa Wars Erupt on Campus
by David J. Rusin

To ban or not to ban? That is the question being asked across the West regarding Islamic veils that cover the face. One of the more active fronts of this battle: college and university campuses.

Daniel Pipes recently broke the news that a dean at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) had alerted students on December 8 about a revised identification policy going into effect on January 1. Among the updated provisions:

For reasons of safety and security, all students must be readily identifiable while they are on campus and/or engaged in required off-campus activities, including internships and clinical rotations. Therefore, any head covering that obscures a student's face may not be worn, either on campus or at clinical sites, except when required for medical reasons.

Perhaps the many crimes and terrorist attacks carried out by women and men dressed in burqas or niqabs sparked the reassessment. Or maybe it was the case of 2008 MCPHS graduate Tarek Mehanna, charged with plotting "violent jihad" against the U.S. Regardless, CAIR would havenone of this, announcing on January 6 that it was filing a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, alleging that the rule "negatively impacts the religious rights" of Muslims. Fearful MCPHS dhimmis caved a day later, exempting Islamic veils from the policy.

Several European institutes of higher education have grappled with similar issues in recent months, coming down on different sides of the debate and citing different bits of reasoning:

Burnley College in Lancashire, England, prevented a Muslim woman from enrolling because she wears a niqab. "All members of the college community should be identifiable at all times when in the college," the principal said, adding that unimpeded communication with students aids the learning process.
Though its rigid dress code "is strictly enforced at ceremonies, and if you do not observe it, you may not be permitted to graduate on a particular occasion," Cambridge University stated that exceptions can be made for religious attire, up to and including niqabs and burqas. (Note the Daily Mail's helpful illustration.) They are also welcome in lectures.
New regulations at Sweden's University of Gothenburg allow professors to set dress codes in their classrooms. According to SR International, "There are situations in which the face of a student has to be uncovered in order to enable lecturers and the other students to see a person's mimic, explained Pia Götebo Johannesson of the university."
Even a court in Egypt has upheld university bans on the niqab for examinations, arguing that schools must guard against crafty students disguising themselves as each other.

Pipes asserts that "it's just a matter of time before this [type of prohibition] becomes accepted fact" on U.S. campuses and beyond. But when veils are treated with more common sense in Egypt than they are in Massachusetts, one cannot be so sure.

Dr. Hislop gets darshan of Sai Krishna *

Sai Miracles Sat, Jan 16, 2010 at 7:54 PM
Junk Score: 2 out of 10 (below your Auto Allow threshold) | Approve sender | Block sender | Block domain

The following is taken from the book ‘My Baba and I’ by Dr.John S.Hislop. Published by Birth Day Publishing company, San Diego, California, USA. Pages 57..59

I was with Swami on many expeditions. When we were in the car driving to some locations, I would sit in the front seat with the driver and Swami would sit in the back seat with another devotee and Swami’s personal attendant. During the ride, I would be constantly turning around, straining my neck to see what was happening in the back seat, because that is where the action was. Swami would be laughing and joking or singing bhajans or, sometimes, just sitting very quietly.

Once when I turned around and looked, I was absolutely astonished, because Swami had disappeared, and sitting in His place was a person with the most beautiful, the most exquisite face of the greatest beauty I had ever seen. You could not imagine the incomparable beauty; no painter has ever captured such beauty, nor could any poet describe it. It just caught your heart and twisted it, the beauty was so great.

So I stared and stared, but then quickly turned to the front again --- I was embarrassed to have stared so openly. But I turned back right away and started to stare again! Finally, Swami’s two companions in the back seat, one of whom was Raja Reddy, a well known bhajans singer, said to me, “Hislop, why are you staring at Swami like that?” I did not answer him, I just said to Swami, “Swami, what is that dark blue color?” because this lovely face was dark blue. Swami said, “Whenever you are looking at something where the depth is impenetrable, where it cannot be penetrated --- like the sky at certain times or when you are on a ship looking down into the depths of the ocean --- whenever the depth cannot be penetrated, then it is that dark blue color.” That was all He said.

When I turned around the next time, the regular Swami was there again. The other people in the back seat had not seen this at all.

Nothing more was said until three years later. At that time, I was at Prashanthi Nilayam, sitting on the verandah as usual. Also sitting there were an army officer from Simla, his wife and daughter. No sooner had they arrived, /Swami called them in for an interview. I was sitting on the porch and Swami called me in with them. He talked to them about incidents in their lives before they met; incidents in their lives after they had met, married, had children, and so on. He was showing them that He had been with members of the family ever since they were born. He gave the wife a necklace and the daughter a pair of earrings. Then He turned to me and said, “Hislop, tell them some stories.” So I told some stories – and I finally told the story that I just told you about the beautiful person in the car. The army officer could not contain himself. He said, “That must have been Krishna!”. Swami looked at him and said, “Yes, that is correct.” He said, “I showed Hislop Krishna as He really and truly was, not as artists and poets have depicted Him”.

That was the storey of Krishna. Of course, Swami had declared Himself as Krishna prior to that time. In Bridavan, He would invite me, quite often, up to His room for breakfast or for lunch. This particular time, I had taken up a book that I had read which was called Ten Great Saints of India. I showed it to Swami and said, “Swami, it would have been wonderful to have been living in India during the times theses holy Avatars were alive”. But Swami said, “Nonsense, Hislop. Those were not Avatars; they were scholars, that is all.” Then I started to say, “Well, in that case, Swami, it has not been possible to see God from the time of Krishna to the time of Baba.” That was what I was going to say, and I got as far as, “Well, Swami, it has not been possible to see God from the time of Krishna.” Swami interrupted me, right there and said, “Time of Krishna! I am Krishna!” He declared it – just like that.

AN ISRAELI's warning of forthcoming terrorist attcks

Advice from an Israeli Agent; Crabs

Krishnaswamy Narasimhan Sun, Jan 17, 2010 at 7:51 AM
To: Krishnaswamy Narasimhan

Dear Insaf member,
This forward suggests that we, in U.S.A, are not that much secure from Terrorist attacks as we perceive to be.

Advice from an Israeli Agent -- most of it equally applicable to all of us.

Juval Aviv was the Israeli Agent upon whom the movie 'Munich' was based. He was Golda Meir's bodyguard, and she appointed him to track down and bring to justice the Palestinian terrorists who took the Israeli athletes hostage and killed them during the Munich Olympic Games.

In a lecture in New York City he shared information that EVERYONE needs to know -- but that our government has not yet shared with us.

He predicted the London subway bombing on the Bill O'Reilly show on Fox News stating publicly that it would happen within a week. At the time, O'Reilly laughed, and mocked him saying that in a week he wanted him back on the show. Unfortunately, within a week the terrorist attack had occurred.

Juval Aviv gave intelligence (via what he had gathered in Israel and the Middle East) to the Bush Administration about 9/11, a month before it occurred. His report specifically said they would use planes as bombs and target high profile buildings and monuments. Congress has since hired him as a security consultant.

Now for his future predictions. He predicts the next terrorist attack on the U.S. will occur within the next few months.

Forget hijacking airplanes, because he says terrorists will NEVER try and hijack a plane again as they know the people on board will never go down quietly again. Aviv believes our airport security is a joke -- that we have been reactionary rather than proactive in developing strategies that are truly effective.

For example:

1) Our airport technology is outdated. We look for metal, and the new explosives are made of plastic.

2) He talked about how some idiot tried to light his shoe on fire. Because of that, now everyone has to take off their shoes. A group of idiots tried to bring aboard liquid explosives. Now we can't bring liquids on board. He says he's waiting for some suicidal maniac to pour liquid explosive on his underwear; at which point, security will have us all traveling naked!

Every strategy we have is reactionary.

3) We only focus on security when people are heading to the gates.

Aviv says that if a terrorist attack targets airports in the future, they will target busy times on the front end of the airport when/where people are checking in. It would be easy for someone to take two suitcases of explosives, walk up to a busy check-in line, ask a person next to them to watch their bags for a minute while they run to the restroom or get a drink, and then detonate the bags BEFORE security even gets involved. In Israel, security checks bags BEFORE people can even ENTER the airport.

Aviv says the next terrorist attack in America is imminent and will involve suicide bombers and non-suicide bombers in places where large groups of people congregate. (i.e., Disneyland, Las Vegas casinos, big cities (New York, San Francisco, Chicago, etc.) and that it will also include shopping malls, subways in rush hour, train stations, etc., as well as, rural America this time. The hinterland (Wyoming, Montana, etc.).

The attack will be characterized by simultaneous detonations around the country (terrorists like big impact), involving at least 5-8 cities, including rural areas.

Aviv says terrorists won't need to use suicide bombers in many of the larger cities, because at places like the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, they can simply valet park a car loaded with explosives and walk away!

Aviv says all of the above is well-known in intelligence circles, but that the government does not want to 'alarm citizens' with the facts. The world is quickly going to become 'a different place', and issues like 'global warming' and political correctness will become totally irrelevant.

On an encouraging note, he says that we don't have to be concerned about being nuked. Aviv says the terrorists who want to destroy America will not use sophisticated weapons. They like to use suicide as a front-line approach. It's cheap, it's easy, it's effective; and they have an infinite abundance of young militants more than willing to 'meet their destiny'.

He also says the next level of terrorists, over which America should be most concerned, will not be coming from abroad. But will be, instead, 'homegrown', having attended and been educated in our own schools and universities right here in the U.S. He says to look for 'students' who frequently travel back and forth to the Middle East. These young terrorists will be most dangerous because they will know our language and will fully understand the habits of Americans; but that Americans won't know/understand a thing about them.

Aviv says that, as a people, Americans are unaware and uneducated about the terrorist threats we will inevitably face. America still has only a handful of Arabic and Farsi speaking people in its intelligence networks, and Aviv says it is critical that we change that fact SOON.

So, what can America do to protect itself? From an intelligence perspective, Aviv says the U.S. needs to stop relying on satellites and technology for intelligence. We need to, instead, follow Israel's, Ireland's and England's hands-on examples of human intelligence, both from an infiltration perspective as well as to pay attention to, and trust 'aware' citizens to help. We need to engage and educate ourselves as citizens; however, the government continues to treat us, its citizens, 'like babies'. Government thinks we 'can't handle the truth' and are concerned that we'll panic if we understand the realities of terrorism. Aviv says this is a deadly mistake.

Aviv recently created/executed a security test for Congress, by placing an empty briefcase in five well-travelled spots in five major cities. The results? Not one person called 911 or sought a policeman to check it out. In fact, in Chicago, someone tried to steal the briefcase!

In comparison, Aviv says that citizens of Israel are so well 'trained' that an unattended bag or package would be reported in seconds by citizen(s) who know to publicly shout, 'Unattended Bag!' The area would be quickly & calmly cleared by the citizens themselves.

Unfortunately, America hasn't been yet 'hurt enough' by terrorism for their government to fully understand the need to educate its citizens or for the government to understand that it's their citizens who are, inevitably, the best first-line of defense against terrorism.

Aviv also was concerned about the high number of children in America who were in preschool and kindergarten after 9/11, who were 'lost' without parents being able to pick them up, and about schools that had no plan in place to best care for the students until parents could get there. (In New York City, this was days, in some cases!)

He stresses the importance of having a plan that's agreed upon within your family, of how to respond in the event of a terrorist emergency. He urges parents to contact their children's schools and demand that the schools, too, develop plans of action, just as they do in Israel.

Does your family know what to do if you can't contact one another by phone? Where would you gather in an emergency? He says we should all have a plan that is easy enough for even our youngest children to remember and follow.

Aviv says that the U. S. government has in force a plan, that in the event of another terrorist attack, EVERYONE's ability to use cell phones, blackberries, etc., will immediately be cut-off, as this is the preferred communication source used by terrorists and is often the way that their bombs are detonated.

How will you communicate with your loved ones in the event you cannot speak to each other? You need to have a plan.

Better that you have plans in place, and never have to use them, than to have no plans in place, and find you needed them.

They live who live to plough and eat
The rest depend on them to bow and eat.

"Pongal is a Farmer's Festival (Uzhavar Thirunal) Just as the whole economy
depends essentially on the farmers' produce, all dharmas revolve around and depend on Nama Kirtan to be meaningful and beneficial. Nama Kirtan is the King of all Dharmas and is not dependent on any other Dharma for its existence.

It is not always true that the size of the work determines the rate of its success.
1. I am chanting Mahamantra and I am interested in spreading it to my friends. Is it right to tell about it to a person who is not interested? I am trying to tell to my friends but some are in vain. How can tell them to chant Mahamantra?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

Before you go out for this task, first, pray to Lord Krishna. He will make it successful for you. Even those who are not interested now may change in future. Who knows!

Our duty is only to take the Nama to people. We will not bother about the results. We are not making anyone chant. It is Lord Krishna who does that. So everything will happen according to His wish.

2. Mahamantra has done a lot of good to me and takes me on the right path. These days, I cannot stand the negative attitude of people around me, and this is intolerable. Is this because of the Mahamantra?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

When you progress in spirituality, your mind becomes more sensitive day by day. There are a lot of negative things around us. The mind tries to observe all these negativities. What you have to do is, try to neglect such observations and do more and more Japa. It will be alright slowly.
3. I have wasted about 40 years of my life by not chanting the Mahamantra regularly. It is only since the last 6 months, that I have started chanting regularly. Even then worries, fear in life, etc. have not gone from my mind. I heard that only after several births we will attain the lotus feet of lord Sri Krishna. Kindly tell me even after chanting regularly the Mahamantra, we will have to take birth?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

Not necessarily. Keep chanting. We cannot recover the past. We are not sure of the future. It is only the present that is at our disposal. So don’t waste it. Chant, chant, chant!
4. After chanting Mahamantra regularly, I can see a change in myself in thinking about God always. I want to serve God in continuation of my Karma and work. How can i serve God? Please advice.

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

Chanting the Mahamantra itself is a great service to Lord Krishna. Further, if it is even possible for you to make one other person chant the Mahamantra, that is the greatest service you can do to Him.
5. One person is writing Ram Naam continuously with full devotion and concentration, praying for a wish to get fulfilled. On the other hand, another person is writing Ram Naam continuously without any devotion. Who will get benefited?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

Both of them will get benefited. While the person who writes with love and devotion will be able to savor the result better, it is undeniable fact that the other person also will get the benefits.
6. How does mere chanting of Mahamantra lead one to the ultimate truth? If we are chanting it mechanically most of the time, how can one realize the self? To chant means to have a mind and a memory. So, does this not contradict the fact that Mahatmas have no minds?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

Mahatmas talk! Don't they? Does it disqualify them as mahatmas, because as per your idea, talking can happen only when there is mind and memory, so if they talk they cease to be Mahatmas! If a Mahatma's teaching made you think so, he has talked too! So, if that would disqualify him as a Mahatma, there is no need to read his teachings further! So something is wrong in the assumption? Is it not?

The ego, the mind has to be made silent. Chanting works on ego and dissolves it into its source. Mechanical chanting is the starting phase. It will soon graduate to mental chanting and soon this mental one-pointed chanting will lead to the source of the chant, which is the truth. So just like mere mechanical reading of books, soon starts working as understanding or 'doubt' in the mental level, chanting mechanically also leads to mental absorption.

Many saints have realized with the help of God's grace just by chanting Mahamantra.
There are infinite paths to infinite bliss. Truth is pathless. Infinity and zero are but two ways of telling this fact. In geometry, a theoretical question of how many sides does a perfect circle have, has two answers to depict the same truth - zero and infinity!

Understand that great sages like JK, Ramana Maharshi, Yogi Ramsuratkumar all have realized that one truth and are only speaking in different tones.

Yogi Ramsuratkumar Maharaj says chanting is sufficient to realize. Easier way for normal people is to chant, even if it appears mechanical to start with.
7. Why are human beings punished for the acts of their previous births, when everything is pre-destined? What is the role of God here?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

The destiny simply decided based on the acts of the previous births. God is like a judge that administers justice in a court.
8. I am a businessman. I wish to be honest and ethical, but the world calls me a fool. Does honesty and fear in God truly pay in the long run?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

Honesty and fear in God pays immediately. How does it pay? In the form of innerexcellence, clarity of mind, free and clear consciousness. Why do you always think only of money for results?
9. Some people say that one should not take bath or wash the legs after returning from a temple. Why so?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

As per our Sanatana Dharma, we generally wash after we visit a place of death or inauspicious happening. When we visit a temple, we carry with us the positive vibes of the charged cosmos there. So it is advised not to wash it away.

Sanskrit is second official language in Uttarakhand
By Ravindra Saini
It is a great irony that in India, 18 states have made Urdu their second official language under the appeasement policy but for the first time the Uttarakhand government took the right decision by declaring Sanskrit the second official language. -KS Sudarshan, former RSS Sarsanghachalak
Against the mad race among certain states declaring Urdu as second official language, Uttarakhand became the first State in the country to declare Sanskrit as second official language. The State Assembly passed a Bill to this effect recently. Now, it is hoped that the much-neglected language would flourish in the State.

It is a well known fact that Sanskrit is a very scientific language and even many words of English have been taken from Sanskrit. Uttarakhand has long association with Sanskrit as many great Sanskrit scholars belong to this region. Kalidasa was born in Uttarakhand at Kavitha and by his writings he not only established his reputation as one of the all time great playwright, but also contributed towards promotion of Sanskrit also as Devvani.

As per the constitutional provisions, Article 345 determines the official language or languages and under the provision of Article 346 and 347 the Legislative Assembly of any State may adopt any of language/languages indicated in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution as its official language. Under the provision contained in the Article 345 of the Constitution Uttarakhand adopted Sanskrit as second official language. It is a well known fact that Article 343 of the Constitution declares Hindi as official language of the Indian Republic. In the case (AIR 1995 (SC 293) of Santosh Kumar and Others Vs Union Ministry of Human Recourse, the Supreme Court too made it clear that study of Sanskrit is not against secularism, rather, the study of Sanskrit is compulsory for the development of Sanskrit language.

Thus, the Uttarakhand Assembly has set an example for other states in the country by declaring Sanskrit as second official language. The Rajbhasha Vidheyak was brought in the Assembly to make Sanskrit as second official language as people of the State have keen interest in the language. They tend to use Sanskrit on special auspicious occasions with extreme regards. There are primary, intermediate, graduate and postgraduate Sanskrit medium schools and colleges also in the State which contribute to spread and learning of Sanskrit. The State government is providing all possible help to these schools and colleges and is trying its best to remove all their problems and obstacles which hinder their progress. That is why the State government decided to make Sanskrit the second official language.

This decision of the government would certainly help in flourishing and promoting Sanskrit in the State. Former RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri KS Sudarshan and many Sanskrit scholars felicitated Dr Nishank in Haridwar for this courageous step. Shri Sudarshan described it a historical and commendable decision. He said the decision is according to the sentiments of the people since so many saints and rishis dwelt and learnt spiritual values through Sanskrit. It is a great irony that in India, 18 states have made Urdu their second official language under the appeasement policy but for the first time the Uttarakhand government took the right decision by declaring Sanskrit the second official language, he said.

Talking to Organiser Chief Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said the decision has been welcomed with great enthusiasm by the people from all nooks and corners of the State, the country and abroad. "Other states should learn from the decision. They should think of the rich great cultural heritage of India which made Bharat Vishvaguru. I feel all should work for the glorious future of Bharatmata ‘giving up all selfish interests and should declare Sanskrit as second official language of Bharat. Uttarakhand is the school of Sanskrit. It is due to the Sanskrit language that India is respected in the entire world," he said.

Praising the step taken by Dr Nishank former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and veteran BJP leader Shri Nityanand Swami described it a historical decision which should be appreciated by all. He said the party had promised it in its election manifesto and it is good that the promise has been materialised.

Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy is organising different programmes to facilitate the publicity and promotion of Sanskrit in the State. Through many programmes, the Academy is going to establish direct contact with the people of Uttarakhand. One such programme is Sanskrit Natya Yatra. For the first time school children in the State have been selected to undergo a 20-day drama-training programme. The trained students staged dramas at six locations across the State. The play Karnabharam composed by Mahakavi Bhas was staged by them at girls’ inter college at Srinagar. Prior to the performance in Srinagar, the Sanskrit plays were staged in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Bageshwar and Joshimath as part of the Sanskrit Natya Yatra. The Yatra concluded in Chamba. The students were trained by noted Sanskrit drama director Shri Suresh Babu of Sanskrit Department of Kaladi University in Kerala.

In order to elicit a connection between students and Sanskrit in the State the Academy had during August last year organised different events in all the 95 developmental blocks. These events included Sanskrit plays, group singing, dance, debate, oration and general knowledge competitions. The Academy also initiated efforts aimed at facilitating the provision of Sanskrit Gram status to Bhanataula village in Bageshwar district. The Academy will also put efforts towards it from Kimotha village which has already been accorded the status of Sanskrit Gram in Chamoli district.
Sanskrit speaking village in Karnataka, tryst with IT
Vedic village’s tryst with IT,%20oops,%20concept,%20c+=
Govind Krishnan V
A quarter century ago, AI magazine carried an article that evoked much curiosity among its readers — regular or casual. The 1985 spring issue
of the California-based quarterly featured a write-up by an American called Rick Briggs on artificial intelligence (AI) and Sanskrit.
Briggs, who compared its grammar with that of the computer, came to a startling conclusion: Sanskrit, which ceased to be a living tongue
millennia ago, had such a logical meaning-structure that it could be a rich mining field for AI.

The following year, Briggs and several academicians flew down to India to pick the brains of India’s Sanskrit pundits who had gathered at
Bangalore for a conference inspired by his research.
Had their trip happened today, those experts would have taken Bangalore as nothing more than a stopover. From the Garden City, they
would’ve taken a bus and travelled seven hours north to meet the residents of Mattur. In this village, Sanskrit isn’t dead. The
language leads an existence — perhaps beleaguered, but tenacious — among its 2,000-odd people. Critically, Briggs and company would have
also have witnessed the beginnings of this near-Vedic village’s strange tryst with Hindustan’s nascent IT revolution: the village has
produced around 150 software engineers!
It is a link Briggs would have found exciting. Mattur and its twin village Hosanahalli, a few kilometres north of Shimoga town, sandwich
a thin strip of the Tungabhadra. Enter Mattur, and your senses are assailed by a host of sights that is eccentric in its fusion of the
picturesque and the quixotic. While a set of Smartha Brahmins recite Vedic hymns by the riverside in the morning cold, a couple of young
men with tufts zoom past on a black Pulsar — the unstitched folds of their white uparivasthras flapping in the breeze. When I enter the
home of Gopal Avadhani, a retired engineer, a boy named Shantarama introduces himself in Sanskrit, “Mama naama Shantarama.”

Sanskrit dominates the life of Mattur, and not just because half the populace speak the language — with varying degrees of fluency. Right
about the time Briggs and his crew were discovering the semantic potential of Sanskrit for computer applications, Mattur was
rediscovering Sanskrit for itself.
The journey back to its Vedic roots started for the village in 1981 when Sanskrita Bharati, an organisation that promotes the classical
language, conducted a Sanskrit workshop in Mattur. It was attended, among others, by the pontiff of the Pejawar Mutt in nearby Udupi.

Inspired by this village where Sanskrit survived as a spoken language, the seer reportedly exclaimed, “A place where individuals speak
Sanskrit, where whole houses talk in Sanskrit! What next? A Sanskrit village!” It’s a call Mattur took to heart.

Sanskrit is reputedly a tough nut to crack, but is it that different from picking up any other language? In some rather important ways, it
seems it is. When Shantarama leaves for school and says “Aham vidyalayam gachhami” (I am going to school), he will know that
gachhami is very much like gamanam — which means movement. Both words come from the root class gam, from which a fluent Sanskrit speaker can
dig up words for all kinds of movements and for things that move. Like gau for cows and khagah for birds. But khagah is not merely something
that moves. It is that which it moves in khagam (sky). From a few basic classes (root words), Sanskrit creates an endless chain of words
— all linked to each other.
“The objects, events and actions are all labelled depending on the root,” says Srivatsa S, who is doing his research in linguistics at
the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad.
Dhruv Kumar, who is scholar Gopal Avadhani’s nephew, is one of Mattur’s success stories. He heads a software development company in
Bangalore. The IT professional is a stranger to linguistics concepts, but he is very familiar with the idea that one can link together a
vast set of seemingly random things by boiling them down to basic classes that will split the objects between them. He would be doing it
every day. In his office at Mahalakshmi Layout when Dhruv works on Java or C ++, he is using Object Oriented Programming (OOP), a
programming technique that thinks on lines similar to Panini’s Sanskrit grammar.
OOP allows the programmer to define classes and clump together objects belonging to the same class. Each object within the class can be a
further class, and can give more objects, just like one word leads on to another in Sanskrit.
Dhruv, however, is not interested in whether Java shares semantic genes with Sanskrit. His obsession at the moment is Shridam — a rural
BPO that set up operations in Mattur three months back. Shridam is Dhruv’s way of giving back to the village that raised him and which he
longs to go back to. The BPO, the brainchild of Mattur’s affluent techie migrants, employs 50 villagers at the moment. “It gives us from
Rs 3,000 to 5,000 a month,” says Pattabhiraman, an employee. “We might get double that in Bangalore, but the cost of living there makes
Shridam much more attractive. Besides we can stay at home.”
The beehive of air-conditioned cubicles that outsource business operations from foreign shores is something we only associate with a
city. But Dhruv thinks this has not only limited our business imagination but held our villages back. “If I can service the USA
sitting here in Bangalore, why can’t I do the same from Shimoga? From Mattur?” The words of a dreamer? Dhruv does not agree. After all, the
line between dreaming and innovation is a thin one. “When I can get better support, better connectivity and better power in Shimoga, why
can’t I deliver the same product to my customers at a lower cost?”
Sridham is only the tip of the iceberg for Dhruv and his various associates. For them setting up a rural BPO is merely the first step
in stemming the flood of urban migration that is eroding the very fabric of villages like Muttur. They have much bigger plans for their
village. The profits from the BPO shall go into a special fund with which they hope to launch much bigger technological projects in
Mattur. And these projects will be not only be run but conceived and conceptualised by the youth of Mattur. “We want to educate our young
> people and take up their ideas,” Dhruv explains. “Let them come up with their own projects and execute them. We will give them the
What kind of projects does he have in mind? “Well, for example, wind and water energy from the Tunga can be harnessed to generate power
indigenously. The channels of the Badhra flow into the Tunga and the water force can be a valuable resource for our village,” he says.
Other plans of a similar kind are being chalked; the thrust is to make the Muttur a self-sufficient unit.
If Dhruv’s dreams come true, Mattur would be a bizarre candidate for that holy grail of liberal economists — the global village. It would
be bizarre not merely because the denizens of this global village will speak Sanskrit and wear unstitched clothes while running software
companies and techno-heavy development projects.

How to keep a language alive
If one man can be said to be responsible for Mattur’s Sanskrit revolution, it would be Srinidhi, a stocky, bullet-headed man with an
enthusiasm that belies his forties. Srinidhi heads Sanskritha Bhavan, a Sanskrit-teaching institute that has taken upon itself a job that to
many would seem quixotic, the task of taking the language out of textbooks and literature and bringing it back to life on the streets
of Mattur. Among the many things the institute does, the primary one is the language support it gives to the local school. Sanskrit is the
first language in the Sharada Vidyapeeth, a private school managed by > the villagers that educates the village’s children at little more than
Rs 80 a month. Sanskrita Bharati organises spoken Sanskrit courses every few months to make sure that nothing is learnt by rote and
forgotten. These Sanskrita Shibirams (Sanskrit camps), where learners brush up on their speaking skills see all kinds — men, women,
Brahmins, Harijans, college students, middle-aged farmers. And the discussions, Srinidhi says, are very lively. The enthusiast, however,
admits that the occasional old-timer who grumbles “Sanskrit? At my age?” is not uncommon.

The technological edge
Fifty to sixty software professionals from Mattur are placed in the different IT firms that have made Bangalore the Silicon valley of
India. “People from my native place are working for companies such as Wipro, Infosys, HP, IBM and several others in Bangalore,” says
Shashank who is the chief technological officer of Samartha, a software development company in Bangalore floated by another
Matturite. Samartha which offers IT services to IT giants in India and abroad, and have HP, IBM and Wipro among its clients. The organisation
employs 100 software engineers, of whom 25 are from Mattur. Another venture with a Mattur entrepreneur at its helm, combines software
development functions with that of a training institute. The company provides training to graduates in languages like Java and PLSQL
(Procedural Language/Structured Query Language). Mattur has not just spawned techies. It has made its mark in the scientific community
also. “Two scientists from Mattur have won the Bhatnagar award for original research,” said Dhruv Kumar, the owner of Samartha.

Subramanian Swamy convenes conference on Feb 13 on EVMs-Chennai | Wednesday, Jan 6 2010 IST
Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy has convened an International Conference here on February 13 on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in the light of reports of their tamperability. In a statement here, Dr Swamy said about 35 experts from India, Germany and the US would be attending the conference to review the international experience with EVMs in the light of reports from several countries about the tamperability and the lack of transparency in polling of votes.
The German Supreme Court had recently banned the use of EVMs in elections based on these reports, he said, adding the Delhi High Court would take up for hearing his Public Interest Litigation on EVMs on February 17. The Janata Party leader said Chief Election Commissioner Navin Chawla has been ''telling a blatant lie to the media that no one has yet been able to demonstrate the tamperability of EVMs.''

I cannot help quoting the succinct words of Dr. Subramanian Swamy: 'Thus an Islamic bank is like boiled ice cream; it cannot exist in real life without tricking our confidence. An Islamic bank, or even NBFC, that operate in India, would violate at least the following laws, rules and regulations:

The Kerala High Court yesterday (5-1-2010, Tuesday) has granted a stay order to Dr Subramanian Swamy who had moved a Public Interest Writ Petition in the Kerala High Court in Kochi on 8 Dec, 2009 for the grant of an INTERIM STAY against the outlandish and outmoded proposal of the Kerala government for the establishment of an Islamic Banking Company in Kerala based upon Islamic principles of Shariah.
Dr Subramanian Swamy has rightly argued in his writ petition that the Kerala Government action starting of an Islamic Bank will running counter to the Secular principle enshrined in our constitution. Establishment of such a Bank in one state would lead to a clamour of similar demands from other regions and other states.

Taking note of the unassailable legal and Constitutional points raised by Dr Subramanian Swamy, a Division Bench of the Kerala High Court, comprising Chief Justice S R Bannurmath and Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan has restrained the Kerala State Government and the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) from commencing the operation of an Islamic financial institution on the lines of Islamic bank till further orders.
The Bench passed this order while admitting a public interest petition filed by Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy challenging the Government Order (GO) giving sanction to setting up a company by the KSIDC for providing financial service in KSIDC accordance with Shariah.
With unholy haste the Government of Kerala had issued orders in G.O (Rt) No. 1336/2009/ID dated 14.10.2009 (Filed as Exhibit P1 by Dr Swamy in his Writ Petition) according sanction for registration of a company by the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) which will provide financial services 'in accordance with the Shariah of the Muslim community'.
Janata Party President Dr. SubramanianSwamy addressing the media afterpresenting his Public Interest WritPETITION at the Kerala High Courtin Kochi on 8 December, 2009
The same Government Order also specified that the proposed Islamic Banking Company will have 11% equity contribution from KSIDC which is fully owned by the Government of Kerala. In his writ petition Dr Subramanian Swamy has riveted the point that the setting up of a financial services company with Kerala Government participation, which would follow the injunctions of law of a particular religion like Islam is a clear instance of the Kerala State favouring the religion of Islam.
When Dr Swamy sought information relating to this new Shariah Bank in Kerala from the KSIDC, he got a reply from them to the following effect: "KSIDC is taking steps to promote Islamic Financial Institution. It is a company promoted by the Private Promoters and KSIDC. The proposed institution will not collect interest or charge interest for financing. It will function with full compliance of SHARIAH PRINCIPLES." (Reply from KSIDC Filed as Exhibit P2 by Dr Swamy in his Writ Petition)
Counsel for the KSIDC submitted that as per the Kerala Government GO, a Company has been formed and registered and it would function only in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act and RBI Act. As per the proposal, the KSIDC would contribute about 11 per cent equity to set up an Islamic financial service organisation. The organisation will not collect or charge interest for financing. Taking note of this Dr Swamy strongly agued that 'The government's act is violation of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. Its attempt is to use public funds for favouring a particular religion.'
Dr Swamy invited the kind attention of the Kerala High Court to the Shariah Advertisement issued by the Shariah KSIDC with Islamic commitment to Shariah law for the filling up of vacancies for the positions of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Company Secretary in the new Islamic Bank. This advertisement has been placed in the website ( of KSIDC. In the terms of reference for CEO, it is clearly stated that he will report to the SHARIAH ADVISORY BOARD. Dr Subramanian Swamy has placed a copy of this Shariah advertisement as Exhibit P3 in his Writ Petition. It is clear from the Exhibit P3 that the Muslim CEO, the new Islamic Banking Company is required to report to the Shariah Advisory Board.

Dr Swamy, a Harvard-educated economist, has effectively argued in the Kerala High Court that the new Islamic Banking firm would be bound by the Shariah law and its Chief Executive would be answerable only to a Shariah Advisory Body and not to any constitutional authority and investing Indian public money in such an Islamic company will be wholly unconstitutional.
Here we can see clearly the convoluted and twisted ways of the Government of Kerala, to hand over as a pioneering trial measure, the Islamic Bank of Kerala to the Muslims of anywhere and everywhere in any and every part of the world! The CEO will work for an Islamic Company in which 89 % of the shares will be held by the Muslims from anywhere and everywhere and only 11% would be held by the KSIDC. In short the KSIDC (A KERALA GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATION), would be the sleeping partner in this State-sponsored Islamic Financial Institution and the Muslims would be the dominant and deciding authroties.
Dr. Subramanian Swamy is absolutely right when he says that the Communist Government of Kerala is functioning as an official sales agent for the promotion of Islam in Kerala! The same Islamic Government is least concerned about the Hindus of Kerala who constitute 55% of the population. Dr Siby Mathew (Additional Director General of Police, Kerala) has recently furnished details regarding the Suicide Statistics of Kerala.

Hinds constituting 55% of the population account for 79.5% of the total suicides every year. Muslims constituting 26.5% of the population account for only 7.5% of the total suicides every year. Christians constituting 18% of the population account for only 12.5% of the total suicides every year. This clearly shows that the poor Hindus of Kerala are being treated as State-less Citizens by the Government of Kerala.
In November 2008, the U.S Treasury Department hosted a Seminar on Islamic Banking to train U.S Government employees on Sharia-compliant finance (SCF). It was "designed to help inform the policy community about Islamic financial services, which are an increasingly important part of the global financial industry." George Bush was responsible for this irresponsible initiative. On the one hand he illegally attacked Iraq and on the other he took the illegal initiative for establishing an Islamic Bank in America. George Bush failed to achieve his objective because of strong American public opinion against Islamic Banking.

In this context, I fully endorse the brilliant view of Supna Zaidi on Western approach to Islamic Banking. Let me quote her words: "It is interesting to note that while many in the West deride parallel societies, the lack of integration, and overall "foreign-ness" of its Muslim populations, they have no problem embracing Islamic banking. Maybe because this is the one area of religious "encroachment" that allows the West to make money, and lots of it.."

Taking note of the record of terrorist Islam in India and the Government of India's Gandhian infatuation for it, I am firmly of the view that no short-term gain in the sordid world of banking is worth the long-term danger presented by these murky, Islamist-backed financial Institutions.

I fully share the view of Dr. Subramanian Swamy that Islamic Banking as a Government initiative will never be acceptable in India. Islamic Banking demands the abolition of payment of interest. Can payment of interest be abolished? Islamic scholars argue that Payment of Interest is a bane on the society. What are the alternatives especially example, for old aged people who live on the interest from deposits of their lifelong savings, if interest is prohibited? How will banks survive without charging interest on loans extended?
An Islamic bank cannot charge interest, but then what does it do to survive? How does it manage to survive? It manges to survive only by giving by one hand, and taking away twice as much or more by the other hand! Let us take an example: If you want to purchase a house worth of Rs.10 lakhs an Islamic bank will not give you a loan of 10 lakhs at a rate of interest and fixed maturity as non-Islamic banks would. Instead the Islamic banks will purchase the house and sell it to you at a higher price! This means they will make a profit and such profit is called, Halal as per Sharia! They will ask you to pay this back in say 15 years or so. Of course interest-free. This is back-door collection of interest.

I cannot help quoting the succinct words of Dr. Subramanian Swamy: 'Thus an Islamic bank is like boiled ice cream; it cannot exist in real life without tricking our confidence. An Islamic bank, or even NBFC, that operate in India, would violate at least the following laws, rules and regulations:
a) Partnership Act (1932) which stipulates a maximum of 20 partners, since KSIDC says it will be an open partnership between it and private investors without limit.
1. Wagering (not permitted under Sharia) as per Section 30 of Indian Contract Act (1872).
b) Sections 5(b) & (c), 9 and 21 of Banking Regulation Act (1949) on Prohibition of Profit- Sharing, buying & selling property, and for not charging interest.
c) RBI Act (1934)
d) Negotiable Instruments Act (1881)
e) Co-operative Societies Act (1961).'
Islamic Banks will not be permitted by Sharia to give loans for liquor manufacture, cinema, hotel, Entertainment industry etc. These however are under current laws of India legitimate and legal activities.
The Government is a partner in the Islamic NBFC promoted by KSIDC in Kerala. How can such a NBFC which is partnered by KSIDC deny loans for such legitimate activities, without violating Article 14 of the Constitution, a fundamental right of equality before the law?
It is clear that Islamic bank or NBFC cannot be started in India without violating numerous laws and regulation. Can Kerala Legislature amend the laws to make it Islam-compliant? Not possible because under Article 246 of the Constitution only the Central Government is empowered to change banking and financial statutes. Moreover, Article 27 explicitly bars using tax money with Government for furthering any religion.

Till the CPI(M) in collaboration with all the rabidly communal and anti-national Muslim Parties of Kerala came to have a political stranglehold on Kerala, that State was known as God's own country. Today with the announcement for the creation of an Islamic Bank by the Islamic Government of Kerala, that State has become Allah's own country! I interviewed Dr Subramanian Swamy, President of the Janata Party and Former Union Minister for Law and Commerce and asked him to comment on the Islamic infatuation of the Communist Government of Kerala for the creation of an Islamic Bank with Islamic fervour in that State.
Dr Swamy gave me this pointed reply: 'The G.O issued by the Kerala Government explicitly states that the Islamic Bank and NBFC would be Sharia-complaint. Why then is the CPM led Kerala Government so keen? Because the Government of Kerala, through KSIDC is out to placate Muslim voters by promising an Islamic Bank, the voters that the Nandigram incident in West Bengal drove away from CPM. The CPM in Kerala does not want to meet the same fate. This shows how bogus is CPM's commitment to what they call as 'Secularism'. And why does the Congress not protest? Because they do not want to annoy rich Dubai based industrialists and hawala operators.

Moreover since the Prime Minister's Principal Secretary T.K.A Nair is the Chairman of the KSIDC, and Dr. Manmohan Singh believes that Muslims must get first charge on our resources. Therefore they are keeping silent, much as Bheeshma and Drona kept quiet when Draupadi was disrobed. Hence, now all patriots in Kerala must rise in unison and raise a roaring cry of raging protest to save Kerala from the process of fast creeping Islamization. And the rest of India must help'.
Dr Subramanian Swamy
According to the Kerala Government proposal, the Islamic Bank will not pay interest to customers, while a Shariah Board will decide what sort of investments it will make. The proposed bank would have Sharia-compliant banking products and profits made out of the investments would be distributed to the shareholders. The share capital of the proposed Islamic bank has been fixed at Rs.1,000 crore. The Kerala Finance Minister has said that non-resident Malayalees and Kerala-based businessmen like E.M. Najeeb would be involved in the project.
Muslims constitute the second largest community in Kerala, accounting for more than 24 percent of the 3.2-crore population. According to a study done by the Centre for Development Studies, 48 percent of 18.5 lakh non-resident Malayalees are Muslims. Of the total remittances of Rs.24,525 crore (about $49 million) made to the Kerala State in 2007, Muslims remitted Rs.12,158 crore (Rs.24.3 million).

There are not many standard books on Islamic Banking. The one book I have read on Islamic Banking is by A.L.M. Abdul Gafoor. His book is titled Interest-free Commercial Banking published in 1995. Let me quote his words in some detail:

'Interest-free banking seems to be of very recent origin. The earliest references to the reorganisation of banking on the basis of profit sharing rather than interest are found in Anwar Qureshi (1946), Naiem Siddiqi (1948) and Mahmud Ahmad (1952) in the late forties, followed by a more elaborate exposition by Mawdudi in 1950 (1961).2 Muhammad Hamidullah's 1944, 1955, 1957 and 1962 writings too should be included in this category. They have all recognised the need for commercial banks and the evil of interest in that enterprise, and have proposed a banking system based on the concept of Mudarabha - profit and loss sharing.'
'In the next two decades interest-free banking attracted more attention, partly because of the political interest it created in Pakistan and partly because of the emergence of young Muslim economists. Works specifically devoted to this subject began to appear in this period. The first such work is that of Muhammad Uzair (1955). Another set of works emerged in the late sixties and early seventies. Abdullah al-Araby (1967), Nejatullah Siddiqi (1961, 1969), al-Najjar (1971) and Baqir al-Sadr (1961, 1974) were the main contributors.'

Early seventies saw the institutional involvement. Conference of the Finance Ministers of the Islamic Countries held in Karachi in 1970. The Egyptian study in 1972, the First International Conference on Islamic Economics in Mecca in 1976, International Economic Conference in London in 1977 were all the result of such involvement. The involvement of institutions and governments led to the application of theory to practice and resulted in the establishment of the first interest-free banks. The first private interest-free bank, the Dubai Islamic Bank, was set up in 1975 by a group of Muslim businessmen from several countries. Two more private banks were founded in 1977 under the name of Faisal Islamic Bank in Egypt and the Sudan. In the same year the Kuwaiti government set up the Kuwait Finance House.
In the ten years since the establishment of the first private commercial bank in Dubai, more than 50 interest-free banks have come into being. Though nearly all of them are in Muslim countries, there are some in Western Europe as well: in Denmark, Luxembourg , Switzerland and the UK. Many banks were established in 1983 (11) and 1984 (13). The numbers have declined considerably in the following years.

India is a secular country. The establishment of an Islamic Bank anywhere in India would run counter to the letter and spirit of the Indian Constitution. When any state wants to establish an Islamic Bank like the one that has been proposed by the Government of Kerala, the Government of India in the Home Ministry should put an immediate stop to it.
In issues involving national integrity, the Government of India ought not to remain neutral between the fire-brigade and the fire. Otherwise every state in India will choose to have an Islamic Bank with branches all over the Muslim World outside India. That would become the solid fulcrum for the networking of all Islamic Terrorist Organizations which are working round the clock for the Islamization of India and the destruction of the Secular Indian State.

To quote the words of Supna Zaidi 'The role of religion in secular and global institutions presents unique concerns that should be scrutinized since true checks and balances are not possible where deference to religious heads is unavoidable. In the case of SCF, only Sharia scholars can decide whether a financial product is permissible (halal) or not. They are thus the only individuals who can theorize as to why or how a product can become "halal." This removes the ability of all practitioners who are not part of the SSB from engaging in product development beyond doing what they are told to find and prevent any illegality. If questions of fraud, breach of duty, negligence, criminal liability, etc. arise over any transactions, these same individuals will nevertheless remain liable.'

In the case of Islamic Banks, no other non-Muslim authority can sit in judgement on their activities. Who is right and who decides? What administrative body or court in India will be in a position to question a Sharia-based product of an Islamic Bank? Even if transactions state Bombay or some other Indian city as the jurisdiction for dispute resolution, the courts must invariably rely on Sharia-based decisions from foreign courts for theories and interpretation. If the Indian Supreme Court offers a decision based on its own theory, who will make the decision binding on Islamic Bank since Sharia is divine, i.e., not to be superceded by any secular law?

According to Renat Bekkin, International Law Lecturer at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University), not all Muslims in Russia favour the establishment of an Islamic Bank because they see it as a triumph of form over substance, like creating an Islamic whiskey!

In my view creation of an Islamic Bank will only help the champions of archaic Islam to replace capitalism and democracy with Islamic law, or Sharia. While many progressive Muslims argue and reinterpret Sharia in ways compatible with universal human rights and democracy, their position remains theoretical. In practice, Sharia remains as a symbol of archaic understanding of human relations as evidenced by Saudi Arabia, Iran and Pakistan (not withstanding partial codification).

If an Islamic Bank gets established in Kerala, then all the Muslims would withdraw all their deposits with lightning speed from all non-Islamic Banks. The worst sufferers will be all the nationalized Banks! In that event Pranab Mukherjee, our Finance Minister may be delighted to order the conversion of not only the Reserve Bank of India but all the other Banks-both nationalized and private commercial banks-into Islamic Banks.

Govt to match netas' I-T returns with poll affidavits-Mahendra Kumar Singh , TNN 4 January 2010, 02:23am IST

NEW DELHI: The finance ministry has quietly initiated the process of
opening up the income tax files of politicians belonging to all
parties and tallying their income statements with the affidavits filed
by them with the Election Commission during the 2009 parliamentary

Verification of the assets declared by the Lok Sabha candidates, many
of whom have now become MPs and even ministers, will help the
department to assess if they had paid appropriate taxes as declared in
their statements with the two different authorities.

The finance ministry initiated the exercise after it found that many
of the candidates had made astounding declarations in their affidavits
to the EC while initial scrutiny revealed that some of them had paid
paltry or no taxes. However, As many as 50% of the candidates in the
2009 LS polls had not furnished their Permanent Account Number (PAN),
making it difficult for the department to ascertain the actual income
of these people.

Despite this problem, the I-T department hopes to add revenue from
many of these candidates whose wealth has seen astronomical growth in
the past few years. Not having a PAN or not disclosing it for the
purpose of evading tax could invite both scrutiny as well as penalty
and prosecution in cases were evasion is proved. Although the penalty
for not having PAN is just Rs 10,000, for tax evasion it could be as
stiff as between 100% to 300% of the tax evaded.

The department will be scrutinizing of the I-T returns of all Lok
Sabha candidates irrespective of whether they ended up winning or not.
A letter from the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has been
circulated to all those MPs whose records are not available with the
I-T department or whose PAN has not matched with the department's

Sources said the I-T department has asked the candidates to submit
their last two years' income tax returns as well as those of their
dependents whose names were mentioned in affidavits filed with the EC.

The details sought pertain to assessment years 2006-07 and 2007-08.

The letter said: ``A verification exercise is being carried out by the
I-T department, ministry of finance, in respect of affidavits filled
by you at the time of filing nomination for the general elections

The department has sought to know with which ward or circle the
candidates have been filing their returns and if their dependents, as
mentioned in their affidavit, have also been filing their income and
wealth tax returns.

For fear of being disqualified if statements made in the affidavits
were to be found untrue when elected, candidates had made some
astounding declarations. One candidate declared assets worth more than
Rs 600 crore, while those having assets between Rs 100 crore and Rs
200 crore were found in dozens during the 2009 polls.

Sources said even those who have shown legitimate wealth would have to
pay wealth tax on the current market value of their property at the
rate of 1% of the value of the assets, barring those which are in the
exempted category under the Wealth Tax Act.,prtpage-1.cms

A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history"
